Fall Fun!

We took Allie Kate to the 1st OU home game.  We saw Emmy and Coop before the game. She loved pre game and seeing the cheerleaders, but after pizza, a pretzel, diet coke, and a lemon slush, we left at 1/2 time.  We saw Milo and Lily on our way out of the stadium and stopped for a quick picture :)

Allie Kate LOVES to help cook! We made pizza for dinner one night, and although she was a good helper, she loved eating the pepperoni the most!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday in September...and what better way to do it than with Grandma Ann's chocolate cake! Happy Birthday Daddy!
We love you!

We went to OKC to celebrate a good friend's 2nd birthday with an adorable train party! Happy Birthday Scott!

Cousin Emmy turned 2! Happy Birthday Emmy!

Although sumer was "over," the warm weather stayed! We have enjoyed playing outside, going to school, gymnastics, and spending time with friends and family as usual.  We saw these "flowers" and stopped to take some pics. It was super windy and Allie Kate wasn't in the mood for a long photo shoot, but we got a good one!

I decided if I wanted more than 5 pumpkins this year, I was going to have to attempt to grow my own! I planted the seeds early June in a sunny area in our backyard.  The sprinklers ran a couple minutes every day...and before I knew it we had 25 pumpkins!!!  I was a proud gardener!

We love our neighborhood! Lots of familiar faces, family and children to play with. We had a cookout for the kids before trick-or-treating on Halloween.  It was a GORGEOUS night and the kids had a blast!

I took several Halloween pictures...not many things cuter than kids dressed up for Halloween!

Brooke, my cousin, and Taylor were married in November.  They had a beautiful wedding and the kids enjoyed dancing the night away!

For Thanksgiving, we traveled to Missouri to spend time with my Grandma Ann's side of the family.  Allie Kate loved playing with her cousins, and we enjoyed seeing everyone.

The new news at our house is...
Allie Kate will have a new brother or sister in June!
She insists that it's a "sister," so we'll have to wait until next month to see if she knows what she is talking about :) Either way, we are excited about the new addition to our family!

Although this is a BUSY time of year for everyone, we are looking forward to the holiday season!
Much Love,

SUMMER 2012!!!

It's been awhile since I've sat down to update our family blog, and we have had a BUSY summer.  Here is a glimpse of our SUMMER FUN!  This first pic sums up our entire summer...playing, playing and more playing :)

We cheered loudly for the THUNDER!!!

We went to see Aunt Tay Tay at cheer camp in the 110+ Oklahoma heat! Allie Kate LOVES her Aunt Tay Tay!!!

We were thrilled to hear Clay's brother, Jeffery, and our sister-in-law are having a baby BOY in January!

And the BIG NEWS at our house is........ALLIE KATE IS POTTY TRAINED!!! For the past year she has gone on the potty some, but she was not fully committed to idea.  Then one day she woke up, we put on her "big girl panties" and we've never looked back! We are proud parents! :p

Clay and I celebrated 6 years of marriage in June and took a trip to Vegas with friends.

We had a great 4th of July with family.

We went to the annual Terral Watermelon Jubilee...another VERY HOT day!

We went to Great Wolf Lodge last summer with my parents and my mom's side of the family.  We loved it so much we went back with Cooper and Emmy! The kids had a great time!

Allie Kate started dance this week.  She was sooooo excited and loved her new shoes, leotards and tights....but when we got to the studio it was a different story.  The little dancers can't see the parents in the waiting room, which upset her (she's kind of a momma's girl).  She ended up shedding some tears and sat on momma's lap until we left.  We are going to try again on Monday, so everyone cross their fingers that our little ballerina is BRAVE!  If it doesn't work out, we'll take a break and try again another time :)

I've been taking a lot of pictures of family and friends this summer. I have always LOVED pictures, and now that I have a little one I want to take them all the time :)  When my lens broke, I decided to invest in a new one and spend time learning how to take a "better" picture...and I still have a lot more to learn. Things just took off and before I knew it I was taking pictures all the time! I know I will continue to invest my time learning about this new hobby of mine.  Here are a few favorites from this summer!

Our favorite time of year is just around the corner...it's FOOTBALL TIME IN OKLAHOMA!!! BOOMER SOONER!  We can't wait for kickoff! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-U!
(Thanks to my momma for taking our picture!!!)
We hope everyone enjoyed their summer....NOW BRING ON THE FALL!!!

Awesome April

"Awesome April" flew by fast!  I feel like I just finish a blog and another month is coming to an end.

We had a great Easter.  How AWESOME it is to know he has RISEN and LIVES today!!!

Because he lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because he lives, all fears are gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives!
Our Easter celebration(s) first started with an egg hunt organized by our church, NewHaven.  We planned for weeks, and our hardwork paid off!  We had around 185 kids that morning to hunt over 2,000 eggs!  Allie Kate wasn't totally cooperative for pictures, but her Nae Nae still found a way to snap a few good ones.

T, Papa Phil, CJ, Nana & Cooper

Let the egg hunting begin!

 Cousins! Emma, Milo & Lily

On Sunday morning, we opened our Easter baskets and headed to church.  Following church we had lunch at the Country Club with family.

Allie Kate was way to busy looking at her basket to stop for a pic...

Allie Kate insisted this be her pose for the family picture...

Lunch at the Country Club

That evening we took things easy around our house and enjoyed a nice picnic of club sandwhiches and fries on Allie Kate's swing set...her request :)

Veggie Tales came to town!  Cooper and Paisley met us there.  Let's just say they danced the night away...
Nae Nae and Pop Pop invited us to the mountains and Meers.  Allie Kate loved climbing on the rocks, and she especially liked the homemade icecream at Meers!

The lens on my camera broke about 5 months ago, so after researching and asking around I decided to invest in a new lens...and I am REALLY glad I did.  My little model has been posing for me so I can practice :)
We walked down to the creek one morning for Allie Kate to take pics in her new boots and pearls... we also found a tree covered in butterflies!
We hope you enjoyed your Easter and had an AWESOME APRIL! We are looking forward to finishing up the school year to begin our summer break next month!

XOXO,
The Andersons
